About Indiana Lang

Indiana Lang is the founder and editor of Ultimate Tool Reviews, an independent publication focused on tools, trucks, outdoor power equipment, workwear, EDC, e-bikes, dirt bikes, ATVs, and the gear that goes along with them.

Indiana has spent more than 15 years working professionally in the low-voltage and home technology industry and is the owner of Emptor Audio & Home Technology. His career has involved everything from installing home technology and troubleshooting electrical and networking problems to working with tools and equipment in real-world environments.

That hands-on experience became the foundation for Ultimate Tool Reviews.

Rather than reviewing a product for a few hours and moving on, Indiana puts an emphasis on real-world use and long-term ownership. Many products featured on Ultimate Tool Reviews remain in use for months or even years, creating the opportunity to revisit them and find out what actually holds up after the excitement of the initial review is gone.

Coverage isn't limited to traditional tools, either. If it's something Indiana actually uses or finds interesting—from a generator or jump starter to a truck, pocket knife, work boot, e-bike, dirt bike, ATV, or piece of outdoor equipment—there's a good chance it belongs on Ultimate Tool Reviews.

Indiana is also a technology journalist and product reviewer with more than a decade of experience covering consumer products. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Home Technology Review and is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Ultimate Technology Reviews, an independent publication covering technology, A/V, PCs, gadgets, EDC, appliances, e-bikes, powersports, and other enthusiast products.

Across all of his work, the philosophy is essentially the same: specifications only tell part of the story. What matters is what a product is actually like to buy, use, maintain, live with, and sometimes break.
